Why Join Us

Established in 1995, Princess Animal Hospital is a client-centred, progressive practice located in Kingston, Ontario. Enjoy a positive work-life balance in a fabulous city on gorgeous Lake Ontario. Kingston is called the “Limestone City” because of the many heritage buildings constructed using local limestone. This vibrant city has a lot to offer, right from visual arts, media arts, literature, entertainment, parks, cultural activities, recreational facilities, outdoor activities, to events and festivals.

We are a client-focused, progressive practice with a well-equipped modern facility. We provide veterinary care for dogs, cats and pocket pets. Our hospital offers various services, including preventive care, dental (including digital radiographs), radiosurgery, laser therapy, ultrasound and laparoscopic surgery.

“Working for Princess Animal Hospital has been an amazing experience! Thorough one-on-one training of every position at the hospital, it helps make you feel confident when your training is complete. Everyone works together to get any job done. We are one large work family!”

“I have worked at Princess Animal Hospital and Downtown Animal hospital since 2006. At PAH & DAH, you get one on one training with a mentor. Once your training is complete, you are never alone. We are a team, and there is always someone around to lend a hand and help get things done. We may work hard at PAH & DAH to deliver the high standard of care that is part of who we are, but we also have fun and support each other! Continuing education is highly valued and encouraged and well supported financially. New ideas are always welcome, as good change is always encouraged.”
Dr. Sean Lang

At PAH & DAH, we live by our core values of client care, patient care, and team care. Not one is more important than the other. The support does not end once you leave the premises as they are also very supportive of your family and outside of work-life. The number one reason I have been at PAH & DAH as long as I have is that the team I work are more like family.
Carole Matiowsky, VT

“Since joining the team at Princess Animal Hospital and Downtown Animal Hospital after graduating in 2012 has been an amazing experience! I was so excited to join a practice that allowed me to perform the great quality of medicine that I had learned about, which isn’t always possible. The focus on continued education, the importance of a great team atmosphere and the growth opportunities have made it, so there is no other practice I would want to work.”
Dr. Daniel Caudle

“Starting my journey as a new-graduate veterinarian at Princess Animal Hospital was a great experience! The transition into practice was extremely smooth, and the level of support and mentorship provided were second to none. I have never before been involved with a clinic with such exceptional management and staff!”
Dr. Rebecca Greenwood

“We are fortunate to work in an environment where the team works well together and supports each other! The mentorship we offer ensures that new graduates start their careers feeling supported and helped with their transition. The level of care we are able to offer our patients and clients here is excellent. The entire team lives and breathes our core values of quality care for our patients and excellent customer service to our valued clients.”
