Puppy and Dog Vaccinations

At Princess Animal Hospital, we strive for the best immunity to help your puppy or dog have long and healthy lives. Vaccines are an easy and inexpensive means of prevention for diseases that are often costly to treat and have serious health effects. Our veterinary team will discuss with you the appropriate vaccines your pet will need based on their lifestyle.

What is an appropriate schedule for puppy vaccinations?

Ideally, we recommend puppy vaccinations at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. Our veterinary team will discuss any previous vaccine history with you and get your puppy started on the appropriate vaccine schedule.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for a puppy and adult dog?

We offer vaccinations against Distemper, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Canine Hepatitis Virus, Lyme disease, Leptospirosis, Bordetella. We also provide the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law regardless of lifestyle.

These vaccines are given based on lifestyle and will be determined by the veterinarian at their appointment. We pride ourselves in making sure that all pets are vaccinated appropriately at each visit. Our goal is to assess immunization requirements at each annual exam and provide the needed protection with as few vaccines as possible.

If you have any questions regarding your pet’s vaccine schedule, please give us a call at 613.634.7123.
